FSC Generation by VIN does not work. Must use 1B/DE File from Head Unit.

Hey Shawn, ive recently retrofitted NBT to my F30 Non-Nav CIC and it works great! but nav is a issue, ive found this FSC generator tool but i dont have a FSC file that contains my VIN as it was previously non-nav! i have the donor vin FSC file saved just incase before i wrote my actual VIN onto the headunit. however when i try to generate a FSC code with this generator im only getting a Speech Recognition (A8) FSC code and not a Navigation (DE) FSC Code which is causing the FSCStatus to Reject! how do i go about this working? i have 7 days before PM's are unlocked.

FSC Generator makes only Map FSC Codes, and A8 is North America NEXT Map. For NBT Retofit, you need to patch NBT and load a full set of VIN Matching FSC Codes, not just a Map FSC Code. Your PM function is disabled. Send one when enabled.

Ah, i see. one last question when i injected my cars VIN into the Donor HU does this ruin the ability to do this? also when you mention patching NBT what do you mean by this? im new to this whole retrofitting stuff.. Thank you in advance. ill PM you when it enables!

You write car VIN to NBT, use aftermarket patch solution, which is what allows custom FSC Codes to be used, and load a full set of custom FSC Codes.

I-Level: Recently updated to latest ( F056-26-03-519)

Issue:
Navigation and map FSC (0115 / 0130) are currently rejected after dealer programming.

Please help me with the new FSC set compatible with current head unit (post I-Level update)
0115 – Navigation
0130 – Map activation (lifetime if available)

Note:
Head unit is original (not replaced).

swid reader says no response from control unit after confirming connection and reading vin

Hi everyone,

I’m new to the forum, so apologies if this has been discussed before.

I have a BMW X5 G05 with MGU (ID7), originally from the US. The car has already been partially converted to EU (coding), but I’m stuck with the navigation.

Current situation:

* VIN: 5UXCR6C03L9C87353
* Headunit appears to be EU-coded
* Europe LIVE maps are prepared on USB
* Navigation (including map in instrument cluster) is not active

From what I understand, standard FSC generation may not work due to the VIN/region mismatch.

Could someone please advise what the correct approach is in this case?
Is it possible to generate a valid FSC for Europe LIVE, or is a full conversion FSC required?

Any guidance would be greatly appreciated.

Unit must be patched and a full set of custom FSC codes loaded. You cannot do it yourself.

Yes I had no idea what I was doing. Well I finally got the !bt file using another useb I got the lon liftime number and I was able to load 2023 maps ... perfect this was a great help
