So I purchased an FSC lifetime code and attempted to activate it and it doesn't work for 2023 north america cic premium. My car's head unit was replaced with an updated roadtop linux version. Does this has anything to do with it?

I have just retrofitted an CIC to my E60, so far everything went well, added VO order, coded CIC and CID, updated VIN number to CIC using tool32. So basically everything works, and I guess activating the Navigation was the last step, but when I add my USB drive with the North America Premium 2022-2 map and I enter the code, it says the Activation code is incorrect

Here is the details I have:

For retrofit, you need much more than just the Map FSC Code, you need all CIC FSC Codes. What Head Unit was originally in car before CIC?

Doing some research, looks like because my CIC is not on the latest version C1A, things don't look good, it's current on C13 which seems to be 2 versions prior to the C1A.
Anyway Shawn, my car is a 2006 E60 M5 which came with a CCC unit.

Could you give me some guidance for this? So far I found a bunch of different information, mostly different ways to pull the 1b file and generate the FSC for the map, but none that would help my case I guess then.

I was so happy with the whole CIC retrofit installation, I was already thinking about doing the combox as well :/
