If sitting normal, no. It will clear. Depending on actual tire rolling size as well. You have to see how many revolution per mile vs the one I have which is Bridgestone Potenza S-04. Tirerack list those details. Use the link banner above to get some money to forum. Should drop of the tires will also matter. Flatter shoulder sticks out more. I can pass a thin sheet of paper. This small folded flyer still drops through. Held only by bending around the tire. It would rub slightly behind that paper location if you had lock and go over bumps. Nothing that would destroy the liner, unless you're locked on track at speed. For my use. This setup works great for family wagon. I might have more clearance once I put on Bilstein B6 struts that may raise the car more. Last edited by Soravia; 11-14-2019 at 12:13 AM.. |

Count on likely having less room on a RWD platform...as the bloke above mentioned: Quote:

I have fit 245/40/18 on my front and it rubbed for me. Im fully aware how tight it is. However, 225/45/18 fits just fine. It's the trade-off between height and width.

I might be inclined to pull out the heat gun and see how much space there is to gain.
I have to pull off the summer anyway to go back to winters. And still need to put in the LEDs. They won't go in with these wheels even at full lock. |

Different brand/model tires will obviously provide different results as well though...I've seen some 235 tires that end up being wider than most 255s, etc. |

Tire Rack make their own measurements on the tires and list in the spec page. You can scroll down the list and see the differences. That's how I picked out the Potenza S-04 size vs the OE 225/45/17 that invites lots of curb damage.

No issues with rub when the car got Bilstein B6 HD dampers and new strut mounts along with new control arm bushings.
Car has a nice gap even with these bigger wheels. They look like they belong on the car. OE set-up looks ridiculous. Last edited by Soravia; 03-26-2020 at 02:20 PM.. |
