That is the biggest potential problem with this car. It can not be any more expensive than the current 1er.

why not? the 4 series will be more expensive than current 3 series coupes. that's the whole point of changing the name to a bigger number. more exclusivity=more bragging rights=more expensive, expect the M235i to start no less than $43K in Fall. 228i to start around $33k

the current 135is starts at $44K, considering the new name and the same powertrain with the 135is, the M235i will be nearly as expensive and definitely more expensive than the current 135i which starts at a friendly $40K.

anyways after seeing the photos i'm pretty sure this is going to be my next car, the 4 series seems to pack less tech than this(no touch idrive?)and a lot more expensive.

I am assuming the 228i with M sport will look like this as well. I think a 228i with M sport, Navi, Harman Kardon and Cold weather should be just fine for me

, but again, depends on pricing.

Such a HUGE improvement over the hatchback (F20) that I don't even know what to say. Admittedly, it's somewhat more conservative than the F30, without the lights touching the 3D grille or the whale hump, but because of that I like this better than both the F20 and F30. Very nice.

Finally! Some proportioned headlights! BMW is doing pretty good with its coupes lately (the 4er and 2er).
