So at the weekend I finally started the strip down and fitting of the M3 components.
Luckily Saturday was a dry day as decided to do the main strip down outside as all the parts were spread out all over the place lol. Started with removing the side skirts to enable access to he lower bolts for the wings. Then bumper off/wheel arch liners and ended up like this: ![]() ![]() Then removed the slam panel/bumper bar: ![]() ![]() Had to swap all the components over but used new M3 lock plates etc. It's amazing when you start something like this you find more and more little bits and pieces required to complete a project like this. So once I got the new slam panel and the M3 CF bumper bar in she kind of started to look a little better: ![]() New brake/cooler ducting added and then had to make up a bracket for the horns either side: ![]()

Now the M3 wings I picked up cheap needed a little tlc as the one had a chip on the corner and the other had one of the holding tabs broken.
Gave them to Ungie to sort and what a top job as always from him. Corner built up on the one: ![]() ![]() Tab repaired on the other: ![]() ![]() Then primered up and painted the inside edges: ![]() ![]() ![]()

Full M3 for the front end. All genuine bits.
Rear will be custom wider arches and the rear bumper hybrid between genuine M3 and my Sport one. Rear end was all inspired by Az (so I blame him for it all LOL).

So wings on however discovered an issue with on of the driver side retaining clips.
Initially both on: ![]() ![]() ![]() But now with the passenger one properly and headlight in too. ![]() Also done some of the smaller time consuming items like washer jet, relocation of temp sensor, redrilling the air scoop holes etc etc. ![]()

![]() ![]() Then Sunday drove her down to London for Stage 2. Had to fill up at the Shell station so thought take a quick pic: ![]() Did get some funny looks driving her down like this. Once down there quickly swapped the rear rims over so she's ready to go: ![]() Will put some pics up of the stage 2 work.

Will they be painting the new wings, bonnet, bumper etc whilst still on the car, or will they be removing them, and then re-fitting them for you?

Front wings were painted on the inside edges etc before I fitted them so can be painted on the car now but the bonnet and bumper etc will be removed and painted but all at the same time to keep the colour match spot on.
