Tbh I'm still really undecided whether to keep it as is or eventually paint it. I think for the moment it'll stay as I kind of like it (and my wife has actually suggested leave it as is to show off the CF) but at least once I do paint it (if I do) then will be like another mod lol.

Love the new mods Raj!

Personally I would paint fade the boot like Steve has said just from a little bit of a distance to me it would look like you've swapped for a black boot as you wouldn't make the carbon out, but obviously it's your choice, the shape is fantastic though really does make an addition to the rear! just my worthless two pence

Cheers. Yeah and those M3 rep side skirts too. It's just getting the time to get them painted tbh. I really want the whole car done as there are so many blemish's round the car.

Originally that was the plan but then I had to test fit it to be sure all was ok and tbh kind of like it at the moment.

Appreciate the comments though.

I'm in the middle east with work for the next 6 weeks. Left mine with Bodytech to have the roof done black. They're also respraying the bonnet due to a blemish that appeared. Getting a new windscreen fitted there at the same time. Can't recommend Steve and the boys there highly enough!

I do like them too but think with the bootlid and rims the M3 rep ones will probably be better suited.

So will sell these once those are fitted in a couple of months.
I'll keep an eye out in the FS threads then! Really want a set!!

Yeah I remember you recommending them. Might give Steve another call but just a bit of a distance to take the car up there for a quote etc.

Do really need it doing along with the other bits.

Soooooooooo, it's been a while with any updates. Been busy with work etc but always planning lol.

I've been toying with the performance diffuser for a while as I really like the look and think it suits the car better than the aero one I'd been running. But it wasn't just the diffuser required as the aero rear bumper is a different fitment (for the diffuser) than the sport version. So after sourcing a great deal on a used sport rear bumper I needed to get it and the diffuser in for paint.

I gave them in to Ungie to do me a great favour in getting them sorted in a short time frame (as Rich bought my aero one and bootlid too).

Donor car was red unfortunately:

But after some prep and Titan silver (do like the matt pre-lacquer):

And the diffuser:

Nice gloss black fin section:

And then lacquered:

He even gave me a hand to fit it to save me some time:

Vinyl corner decals on and Akra tips adjusted:

Really pleased with the end result.

But not to stop there lol.

Tin kindly (hmmm more money) sent me a link to a small and cool mod. The OE cowling for the microfilters is not only restrictive for removing the engine cover etc but also weighs a fair old chunk.

So with direct replacement a call to my loveable parts lady saw the order of the M3 cowling. I decided to not use all the parts as the upper covers house the microfilters (which are bloody expensive it has to be said) and I did a deal with Ian for his BMS cowl filters instead.

So old stuff removed:

Lower covers fitted:

ECU cover in place:

Brake reservoir cover is nice at it leaves the access to the top (and the BMS filter in place too):

All installed including the nice cable housing. All neat and tidy and better access to everything:

Really pleased with cowling for sure.

Think that might be it though for a while now.....hmmmmm lol

LOL I know I know. I wasn't in a great rush as the better plan was to have them sprayed up with the rest of the car. But then I got a deal off one of the members to buy the aero bumper/diffuser and my OE bootlid so it kind of forced my hand.

Definitely pleased with the end result though.

Need some better fuller pics.
