Hi Raj, I've noticed that two of your buttons on the steering wheel are a star and rhombus. Are these programmable on the CIC?

Cheers Phil, I struggle with the thought of moving home and losing the garage lol.

I haven't actually looked tbh lol. At present one flips through the sources and can't remember what the other does. I generally don't use them tbh.

Thanks buddy. It's a nice place to be and means I can mod whenever I choose lol. Not like the old days of working out on the drive till midnight in the freezing cold.

Not entirely sure on exact wheel yet as i'm contemplating getting 20" as I do very little mileage, but they will be of a satin/grey finish.

So haven't updated this for a while but have been busy with work/family but of course still modding lol.

When I bought the car it came with the Alpine upgrade and although I was impressed with it I had some kit sitting around which I really wanted to fit.

So I started by purchasing the mosconi gladen quad lock cable to provide an easy plug and play solution to get the signal needed for the amp input. I used this to feed my JL 900/5 which in turn feeds the gladen 201extreme three way front end and my Orion subs.

I did fit better connections though:

Figured best place was the changer location:

Made up a plinth to secure the amp too:

Amp sits nicely tucked out the way:

Then the gladen underseat subs:

Doors done too:

Am really pleased with the power and sound for the costs tbh. I've been used to some quite high end installs in previous cars but didn't want to go crazy this time round.

I've also started gathering some more bits and pieces too. First off was a nice new pair of M3 rep side skirts (courtesy of Enda from here):

Also picked up a new Performance diffuser and due to having the aero rear at present a secondhand (but mint) sport rear bumper.

All obviously require painting and at present I'm not sure when I'm going to get that done as I really want the whole car redone due to stonechips and a parking door ding courtesy of an anonymous car owner when in Wales last year.

Of course another purchase which I've been contemplating for quite sometime was some more CF panelling. I do love the style since the E46 days and figured sod it.

Ordered from the States on the Wednesday and delivered the Monday (which is a good turnaround):

Quick test fit:

Fitment is really good and the plan is to fit it as is properly to ensure all the locks and lights etc all fit properly. I've also got a sprint day booked so the weight saving will help this weekend lol.

I do have a further purchase which I fitted Sunday but I'll post that up later on.

Thanks,

Raj.

Yesterday also had a good friend pop over with his whip to have his performance side skirt splitters fitted. Was a nice straight forward job tbf as being genuine items there's no faffing.

Do like this motor for sure.

They come with 3M tape in place but then have to drill the side skirts to fit the plastic poppers for extra securing.

Thanks.

It would remain silver tbf as not planning a change of colour. It's just that with the new bits that need doing and the front end needing a blowover and now the ding too on the rear quarter it's ending up as might as well do the whole car - BUT then that's big bucks...

I'd die for garage like that so love the boot lid for you only one suggestion paint it body colour with a fade to carbon on the upper reaches of the boot lid it'll look subtle but in keeping if you follow me

M3 skirts make a big difference you'll get a good 95% quality fit the rear sections around the lower front rear arch will appear visually slightly short if you flex the rear section of the skirt where it meets the rear arch you'll notice the line will be better visually the trick is to get it to stay there if you follow me(you may be able to pack it slightly to enable it to flex out a bit to meet the contour of the bodywork)

And a bit of audio too.....But love it

Cheers Steve. Garage is just a great place for me to get on with things.

I'd already decided to paint it. Think the CF look as is doesn't quite go with the rest of the car but I just needed to try a quick test fit. Gonna do a full fit just to ensure everything fits fine before getting it in to paint. I do plan to leave some of the CF on show for sure.

Will try the side skirts too and see before deciding on them tbh.

Been following this before i even bought my 335. Love the updates.

Hows the sound difference between the alpine retrofit and your gladen/JL setup?

Currently have the alpine retrofit and want to go a similiar route
