2018 F22 230i out of warranty - SW USA
few weeks ago CEL came on, scanned and showed P0456 (EVAP) --> tried cleaning the area near gas cap and cap itself and the code cleared itself now after 2 weeks it came back on , its very hot in this area recently (multiple heat records are set); AC fan doesn't blow full speed even at max setting, blower comes on n off , only blow for few seconds and shuts off, takes a while to blow cold air , an independent shop here did nothing but steal in the name of AC service ( charged 400+) . planning to take it to dealer... Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated for what to look for in terms of cost and surprises etc. Thanks in advance!

Those two things seem unrelated. I'd check your battery if it is original. A failing battery can cause all sorts of seemingly random issues.

BMW AC Service is a deal if I recall...

Regardless, in both situations it is worth it for then to perform diagnosis and then you have the option to fix, or not, or take it then to an Indy Shop and tell them exactly what needs to be done, get estimates first, etc.
