painting question?

I have quite a few rock chips on the front of my hood and wanted to ask is it possible to get the chips fixed and make it look good enough where it won't be noticable? I really don't want to have to get the entire hood re-painted. Thanks in advance.

You can buy touch up paint.

That'll take care of small chips, and make it less noticable. Otherwise, get a clear-bra installed; or drive it and enjoy the car and get the hood resprayed in a few years.

I plan on getting a clear bra put on after I get the chips fixed. Just want to get the chips fixed to where it won't be noticable then get the clear bra.

If you have chips that are deep then you really should find a good paint shop. I have had success with the kit from BavAuto. I forget the name but I think I posted it a while back. Langasta or something like that. Clear bra does help but even that is not enough in some cases. Good luck! Post comments and let us know how you resolved the issue.

If you can stand the line you will see everytime you get into your car get the clear bra.

The lines get more noticeable over time as the material degrades and takes on a color, (a color other than your cars color).
